Power Crystals are items that, in large quantities, can be difficult to obtain. They can be used as a power source, and as a crafting ingredient.
General Information[]
Obtaining Power Crystals will take up a lot of your time mid game. Assuming you go through all tiers of equipment (drills, slug pistols & jetpacks), you'll need a total of 25 power crystals to power tier 2 equipment and to make the energy orbs needed for tier 3. ALWAYS grab pink and yellow crystal on sight, as you will need 100 yellow crystal and 125 pink crystal to make all you require. Additional crystals will be needed for each turret assembled.
Your space suit's Battery can be replaced with a power crystal, which will cause suit status to recharge faster, approximately 2.25 minutes for a full charge from empty. This also increases the player's maximum walking speed to about 20 seconds per superblock (128 blocks) in both "Explore" and "Creative" modes.
An energy orb can also replace the suit's battery (see that article for details).
