This material is called "Shale Gravel" in the crafting guide and "oilstone" internally.
Oil Stone - 4 Blocks
Currently (known for certain in game version 1.7.0 and probably also in Version_1.8.0) Oil Stone cannot be found naturally in lunacraft. The only way to obtain it is by causing a Brown Mob to explode above Magnetite. Since its only use as a Crafting Material is in the creation of Polymer, which can be collected from Astronaut lairs which are extremely hard to find. It is not required to play the game, unless you wish to use it as a block for building
